How it works

Software-first. No sub-metering. No prepaid wallets.

01
Procure the right charger
We help body corporates, property owners, and individual EV drivers pick from our supported chargers — we recommend Teltonika TeltoCharge for its minimalist look and price. We can supply the unit.
02
Your installer points it to us
Use any qualified electrician (we can recommend one). Once they wire the charger to its own DB and issue the CoC, they flag the unit to ChargeSplit. Onboarding takes 30 minutes.
03
Metered, split, and billed
Every session is metered and dynamically load-shared. On the 1st of each month we hand the managing agent a per-unit breakdown for the levy run or salary deduction — no prepaid wallets, no hidden margin.
Built for South Africa

Body-corp ready.
Driver friendly.

We collect the charging data remotely, crunch the numbers, and hand body corporates, managing agents, and property owners a monthly breakdown. Users never pay substantially more than the landlord does for the same power.

Dynamic load sharing
Power balanced across chargers to prevent nuisance tripping.
Tap & go
Smartphone, RFID card, or tag — no prepaid wallet to top up.
Tariff-linked
Auto-pulled from Eskom & municipal tariffs. PPAs supported.
Postpaid on the levy
On the 1st: clean breakdown to the managing agent or HR.
Open tariff catalogue

We track every tariff so your bills add up.

ChargeSplit only works if the rate we bill matches what the property actually pays. So we maintain a public, sourced catalogue of every Eskom and major-metro tariff — refreshed at every NERSA decision.

FAQ

Common questions

Any residential or business property — body corporates, managing agents, commercial landlords — that needs to bill residents, tenants, or staff for energy pulled from shared or remote chargers. Individual EV drivers can also procure a charger through us and use the platform to track their own usage.
